To make this video we went around Davis taking videos based off of a list of shots are teacher gave us. Then we put the videos together and added sound over the video.
Kraft Ad
This project was simple I just filmed myself making and eating Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. Then I uploaded the videos to Premiere and made the videos shorter but still have all of the same content. Then I put in the wave file of the ad and hey presto, I was done.
Camera Angles
Shout out to my cousin for letting me use her anthropomorphized animal toys.
Long Shot

Long shots frame the character while still being able to see its environment. The main focus is on the character and is typically framed to be able to see the entire character. This angle is good for storytelling because you can still see the character in good detail but still see the environment around it.
Full Shot

Full shots frame the character from head to toe. Is generally used for action shots or talking scenes when the character/s is walking. It doesn’t focus on emotions of the character.
Medium Shot

Medium shots frame the character from the waist up to the head. It shows the character in better detail. Is most common shot used in film because it show the character very well as well as the environment around them.
Close-Up

Close-ups fill the frame almost entirely with the characters face. Used to show reactions and emotions the character has to the events around them.
Over-the-Shoulder Shot

Over-the-shoulder shots frame the speaking character over the shoulder of the character they’re talking to. Arguably the most used shot when two characters are talking to each other. Allows audience to be able to see the actions of both characters very well.
My Ted Talk
Honestly I have no idea what I was doing this project. I looked through the different options that were given and thought that this would be easiest because I would have to do the least amount of noises but then after I started doing it I decided to actually put effort into it and turned it into a Ted Talk, albeit a very strange one that makes no sense. I had problems with the buzzing again but I still did a decent job getting rid of it. Also my computer is not up to snuff when it comes to audition and premiere, but at least it still worked.
30 Second Kraft Macaroni Ad
This project was such a hassle. I tried for 30 to get rid of a buzzing noise that the computer was putting in. I watched a video and found out that I could use an effect that would get rid of it. I love Kraft Macaroni and Cheese which is why I chose to make an ad for it. I just read what they had on the box, but I had to skip the part where they talk about not having added flavors or preservatives. Somehow it ended up being exactly 30 seconds long when I put all of the clips together. There really wasn’t anything else that I did for this project.
(Also I am so sorry for the old lady voice at the beginning of the ad. When I first used the voice it sounded much different, it changed when it was being recorded I guess.)
Astro-Guy

I was inspired to create this picture while watching a Youtube video. I used Photoshop to create this scene, I’m not sure if Photoshop was the correct program use but I did it anyways and I love the way that it turned out. To start the project I spent about 7 minutes trying to remember what the keyboard shortcut was for the fill color. Once I finally remembered I got the mixer brush tool and chose random colors to make the cool particle clouds that are in the sky.
I then made another layer and created the platform that Astro-Guy is standing on. Then in another layer I started creating Astro-Guy himself. Originally I was only planning on using three colors to make him, but once I zoomed out it was very plain and looked terrible. So I decided to color the backpack to a lighter teal. I still wasn’t satisfied with how it looked so I put in the bright blue light’s on the backpack and made it look like there was some really cool energy powering his suit.
Once I did that I was so happy with how it looked, except for one thing, I made him way to small and you could hardly see any detail on him so I had to crop the picture so you could actually parts of him. This was sad because there was much more colors in the background that looked really good, there was some ground cut of as well.
Walking Scene

This project was very fun and I love the way that it turned out. To start I saved a copy of the walking animation that I did previously. Then I added the ground, I’m not really sure why I chose to do a alien-esque ground. I added a motion tween to the ground so it looked like I was walking on the ground, to do this I resized the ground to be only half the size of the frame then copied that twice and laid them side by side so one of the copies was completely off the screen. I then added the mountains using the same technique as the ground but using four copies instead of two so it would look like they were moving slower than the ground.
I then started to work on the sky. I started with a full black frame because that is the color the sky is by I didn’t like the way that it looked so I changed it to a dark blue color that I thought looked much better than pitch black. I then went on to draw the shooting star, it is just simple enough that you can tell that it is shooting star. I chose this because I wanted to keep the simplistic effect that I used on my walking animation. To finish off the project I put in white stars but again I didn’t like how it looked with the background so I changed the colors of the sky to light blue, light purple, and a very light pink. This color scheme looked really great with the rest of the project. Then I was done.
Walking Animation

To start this project I got a peer to take a video of me walking. I downloaded the video to my computer then edited it so I was only taking two steps. After that I created the head and body, using the video as a guide for where they were, and turned it into a symbol so I wouldn’t have to draw it in on every frame.
I then created the rest of the body, putting in the arms, the hand(s), legs, shoes, and finally my lanyard. After I was done with every frame I noticed that I was jumping up and down, left and right so I put in some guide lines so I could be sure that there wasn’t any movement to the sides and smoothed out how much I rose and fell. Then I removed the video from the board and replaced it with a nice background color that I thought looked good with the animation.
“Movie” Poster

To do this project I did very little. To start I took a picture of myself then went on illustrator and highlighted all of the shaded areas of my face, added pupils and put in hair. I then put that image in an InDesign document and added the red rectangle and the text.
Out of Bounds

To start this project I started with the background, filling it with black and giving it an angled blue gradient. Then I added a little noise to it to give it more of a texture. After that I added a layer with the train and created a mask for the layer. For the mask I took out most of the background in front and inside of the train, I also cut off about half of the train and the cart it moving.
I added a white rectangle and adjusted it so that it was facing a similar direction as the train. After the rectangle I duplicated the train image and clipped it into the rectangle. Then I made another layer and clipped it into the original train image and darkened the darker areas and lightened the lighter areas to make it a litter more dramatic.
I then added an sepia adjustment layer to make it look old timey, then used a black brush to blend the two layers together. I duplicated the rectangle and transformed it to look like a Polaroid picture, and adjusted the gradient Overlay Effects. Then added another layer and clipped it to the larger rectangle and used a black brush with low opacity to make the look a little more 3D. To finish it off I created a Brighness/Contrast adjustment layer, and two different Color Lookup adjustment layers to sharpen all of the colors in the photo.
